About Dr. Parag Batavia
Dr. Parag Batavia is a seasoned robotics entrepreneur and the founder of Neya Systems, a leader in off-road autonomy. Neya Systems was acquired by Applied Research Associates in 2017, and Parag remains a strategic advisor to Neya. Parag is now an adjunct professor at CMU’s Robotics Institute, where he teaches robotics entrepreneurship (“How to Start a Robotics Company” and “How to Run a Robotics Company”). In addition, Parag serves as Robotics Entrepreneur in Residence at the Robotics Factory, an array of robotics programs led by Innovation Works and the Pittsburgh Robotics Network. He also serves on multiple non-profit boards.
Parag has a Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from Drexel University.
