Neya Wins RBR50 Award for Cyber Autonomy Initiative

Company recognized for innovation in cybersecurity for autonomous ground vehicles

PITTSBURGH – April 9 – Neya Systems, a leading provider of off-road autonomy and mission planning software, today announced that it has won an RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for its cyber autonomy initiative, which is focused on developing a groundbreaking cybersecurity standard for autonomous ground vehicles.

The RBR50 Robotics Innovation Awards honor 50 of the most innovative and influential organizations in the robotics industry from around the world. For the past 12 years, the awards have highlighted the most creative and influential innovations that are advancing the state of robotics.

“As a team, we are proud to be recognized for the groundbreaking work we’re doing in cybersecurity for autonomous ground vehicles,” said Kurt Bruck, division manager, Neya Systems. “This RBR50 award not only celebrates our dedication to innovation, but also underscores our commitment to enhancing the safety and security of our nation’s transportation systems.”

To develop its cyber autonomy solution, Neya is applying novel cybersecurity extensions to its Mission Planning and Management System (MPMS) to enable the implementation of a Zero Trust Architecture. Cyber autonomy capabilities include pre-mission cyber security checklists and configuration; cyber security profile management, attack/defense response coordination and negotiation; and post-mission analysis for advanced cyber detection and hunting.

In addition, Neya is developing, training, and testing the new cyber systems using its Virtual Integration and Simulation Environment (VISE), which enables the company to safely develop new capabilities and demonstrate viability thousands of times before field testing.

The RBR50 winners will be honored at a Gala during the Robotics Summit & Expo, which is taking place May 1-2 in Boston.

“The incredible work of this year’s RBR50 winners represents the cutting edge of robotics and raises the bar for the industry,” said Steve Crowe, executive editor, robotics, WTWH Media. “We look forward to celebrating all of the innovators at the inaugural RBR50 Gala during the Robotics Summit & Expo. Congratulations to the RBR50.”
