Neya Systems Selected by U.S. Army to Develop Autonomous Navigation Kits for the GEARS project

Neya Systems has been selected by the U.S. Army, in collaboration with the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), to develop autonomous navigation kits for the Ground Expeditionary Autonomous Retrofit System (GEARS) project.

As part of this project, which falls under the Army’s Autonomous Transport Vehicle System (ATV-S) program, Neya will develop an autonomous solution that converts existing military vehicles into uncrewed vehicles. The initial prototyping initiative will focus on adding autonomy to the Army’s Palletized Load System (PLS) vehicles, which are used for freight transport and resupply missions.

Neya’s focus is on developing state-of-the-art off-road autonomous solutions tailored for challenging military environments. We are excited to work with the Army and DIU on this critical initiative, which aims to enhance the safety of military personnel during missions while increasing operational efficiency.
