Neya Systems was awarded a Phase I Air Force SBIR to develop 3D models from limited viewpoint aerial imagery. Under this effort, we will be developing technology for monocular reconstruction of 3D features from high altitude, low angular resolution imagery. This work is intended to address challenges in existing methods for developing 3D models from UAV imagery, specifically the typical requirement of a large range of viewpoints, which is not always operationally possible to collect. The algorithms we are developing under this effort will enable high fidelity 3D models to be reconstructed from highly limited viewpoints, greatly expanding the ability of current UAVs to deliver 3D reconstructions of imaged terrain.
